Great News! It works!! I uninstalled Simple: Press, then reinstalled and it immediately worked.
Not sure I did anything different from before (in fact all the plug ins and themes were still there and I did not have to reinstall those), however the jquery issue for the site template we talked about previously was corrected before I did the reinstall.
I think that might have made the difference.
So if someone is having a jquery issue, they may need to uninstall and reinstall after they correct the jquery.
The big issue with that is you do lose your data. My forum isn’t live yet so there was nothing to lose.
