Admin Queue – This site

Since I’m a Mod here, I might be the only one seeing this. And since it’s a SPv5 thing I should report?

My Admin Queue shows currently 6 unread topics.

I’ve viewed them view the Admin Queue (View New Posts button) and marked them each as read and they vanish as expected.

Yet my count doesn’t change in the bar. And I can see the posts again when clicking the “View New Posts” button in the bar.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Also, I see no way to clear the Queue other then to mark individual posts as read.

we currently have the option (in Admin) “Allow moderators to remove new posts from admin unread queue” turned off.
Sorry if that is a pain – and I can see that it could be – but it just makes sure at the moment that either Steve or I DO get to see all of the posts. We can consider changing that of course.

Oh! No worries then. I do believe you must be able to see them. I was assuming the count was a “per user” count. As in posts that “I haven’t read”.

I don’t normally use the Queue, even on my site.

No it is a global resource. We have talked about making it user specific but believe it or not it is not quite so straightforward as it might sound.
