Is it possible to prevent creation of external URL’s in posts and profiles? In our former boards, we were hammered with these and need to mitigate.  Thanks!

Start with the permission sets which include a lot of restrictions that can be set and it is important to get to review. Then you will also find some more global settings in the forum admin > options > content settings etc.
