I will give this a try right now…  but I DID try another theme, the TwentyEleven that comes with WP and it was the same (I don’t know if that one also use max-width: 99% though…)

Now I wonder why would someone use that styling?  I’m gonna report this to the Suffusion author right away.  I bet Brandon is unaware of this, I know he’s also using Suffusion.

I lost a complete day on this so I’m a bit pissed (my gf would never understand why on earth I was sitting at the computer all day long, she thinks I spent way too much time on the computer) but you just made my day, finally this is sorted out and I will now be able to move on.

inspected the image with firefox and firebug…  you just have to go through the whole hierarchy, not just the first entry you see in the css…
