bbpress-->SPV5: Can I retain the URLs?

I have migrated the posts from my bbpress which have the URLs in this format http://www.website.com/forums/xyz

 

while simple-press URLs are of the format http://www.website.com/forum/xyz

I have two queries

 

1. Will my website rankings get affected as the the search engine crawlers will get 404 Page not found error for the link to the forums posts on bbpress ?

2. Can I prevent the rankings from coming down by renaming the "forum" page which SPV5 automatically creates to "forums" so that the URLs become the same as I had earlier ?

Why not just change the page slug that the forum uses to forums? Then go to the forum integration panel and reset the forum permalink.
