Can I stop guests from posting?

I have a guest category for members and I would like them to be able to browse and read the forums but not be able to post unless they have registered.  How do I assign the limited access permissions I set up to the guest category?

So editing whatever permission set you have assigned to Guests in your forums simply select the appropriate items from the ‘Viewing’ section and the ‘Creating’ section to achieve what you need.

Ok, but I hate to sound dense, how do I assign a permission set to guests?

Oops.  Sorry, I figured it out.  It’s in global permission set in the forums category.

Yes – that is assuming it had not been assigned already. That should take care of it.
