Cannot activate after updating SP Forum

WP Version: 4.1 – SP Forum: Upgrade to Version 5.5.3

Dear all,

I updated my Forum manually via FTP Server.

After this I would like to upgrade the forum by link, but I get the message:

“Unable to communicate with SP servers for version requirements. Please try again in few minutes.”

I think, WP cannot reach the server, because the firewall block the connection (I am using the forum in Intranet).

Is it possible to upgrade/activate it manually?

Do have another go as it might have just been our server was a little too busy. But if it persists or it is your firewall then you can upgrade manually as described here:
