We have some private sub-forums, only viewable to members with certain permissions. Guests and those not in the group see the message:
“Access denied – you do not have permission to view this page “
Where can I change or add to that message? I’d like to add text that says log in or contact us.

I am not sure if that is one of ours. Can you show us an image of that message? I suspect that might be a WordPress message but seeing a full page image with the message in context will help to confirm.

Thanks. As far as I can tell that’s not one of our messages. So, its likely to be a WordPress message. Or maybe its from a membership plugin (if you’re using one of those) that’s securing those forum urls? We have a similar message in our PRINT plugin but that’s not at issue here.
These messages are in fact coming from your SP theme. So you could make a child theme to change them as you wish.
