Data Importer – bbPress Importer (Newer plugin version) not working

When I try to import my bbPress database (plugin version), when I click on the option in the data importer to import this version, it takes me to: Source Forum Data: bbPress (Older separate site version)

How do I fix this?

can you explain further please?  not sure what you are doing…  lots of folks have used the importer so detailed steps will help understand…

fresh install of sp?  running the importer as wp plugin?  just checking…

Sure thing. Fresh install of Simple Press.

When I get to the importer plugin, where it gives you multiple options (phpBB, etc) there are two bbPress import options. One is for the old stand alone version of bbPress and the other option is the new plugin version of bbPress. Regardless of whether I choose the old stand alone version or new plugin version it brings me to the importer screen that says it is the old stand along importer for bbPress.

I choose this option:

And it says this (Old separate site version):

I can’t get the import to work for my bbPress forum but works fine for my old phpBB forum. The server and database admin credentials are the same for both databases, the only difference is the DB name and prefixes, which I checked in my SQL database should be:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ah… will have to check and see if perhaps just that text message is in error…

so after entering the credentials and saying to import, what happens?

Here is my WP Database snapshot of the bbpress tables:

I fixed the problem. I just used the wp_ prefix for both bbpress and wordpress tables and it imported. :-)

ah, yes…  missed the difference there originally, but the db error pointed in the right direction… nice job…  thanks for update…
