Fatal error: Call to undefined function sp_construct_database_error() in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/me/public_html/wp-content/plugins/simple-press/sp-api/sp-api-wpdb.php on line 193

Today I’ve been getting this error off and on. Doesn’t matter if I’m viewing a blog post or in the forum. When I click on the admin post bag. I sometimes get that error as well.

(Could we respectfully ask everyone that when they paste entries, like this they could perhaps stick to one entry of each. There are only three separate issues in this long list – the rest are just duplicates. And none of them are actual errors – just notices.)

And in your case you really should define WPLANG in your wp-config,php file where it belongs!

OK – to the real error. Can you perhaps check in the plugin folder to see if the file is actually there?

/sp-api/sp-api-error./php

There should be no reason for it not to be and for it to be usable – and we have no other reports of this and indeed it is fine here. Might be corruoted I guess.

Good thinking to paste it out there but that was the wrong file! smile

That was the sp-api-db.php file and the one we need is the sp-api-error.php…

Can you do the same with that?

first as Andy says, the WP_LANG definition is standard in the wp config and really should be there…

not sure why Andy wanted the file, if only to make sure it existed?

can you access the file via url in your browser?  would make sure its web accessible…

do you know when and where that occurs?  can you fix your wp config, clear out the error log, and then visit pages until it occurs and get fresh data from the error log?
