Hey there,

So a couple members have reported having issues with the PM button.  When they click said button the browser freezes.  This occurs in IE and Firefox as well as their android phones.  I cannot replicate the problem and have no issues with PM.  Any thoughts?

First we have heard of it frankly - and have not seen it either...  I occasionally use my android phone with pms... a bit ungangly but works...  mobiles may always be an issue with pms given the js used and mobile support is still catching up...  have been thinking about a stripped down mobile version of pms, but lots of work...

The firefox would be bit troublesome as its usually the rock solid stalwart... any specific version of IE?

Don't know specific IE.  Find it odd though that they haven't had issues starting topics or replying to topics.  Just PMs...  They have even changed their forum name (forum profile) which requires js similar to PM...  Can you think of anything unique to PMs?

the profile is more standard jquery with some js, while pms are more js than jquery...  but nothing really unique or no special libraries or scripts... mostly standard js...

and its extremely hard to debug on mobiles... have found way to run firebug on ipads but doesnt always work...

so nothing comes to mind - maybe Andy will have some thoughts...  I know my ipad has had no issues...  and well, first report...

one thing we are trying to do in 5.1 is come up with a more stripped down mobile theme...  it might have some benefit to pms... and I do want to think about a more js friendly mobile pm system too...  maybe something like replace the whole thread/message list with simple dropdown...
