Forum and Topic title not output on mobile devices

When I view my forum pages on a desktop, the Forum title or the Topic title is used as the Page Title and looks great, however when I view the same Forum or Topic on a mobile device (my iPad or iPhone), the Forum/Topic title at the top of the page is missing….

Using the Safari>User Agent tool I can see that the selector tag (h1.entry-title) is there, but nothing appears in between the opening and closing H1 tags.

This occurs no matter which Theme I use for either the Forum (I’ve tried all – reboot, unified, the default, etc.) nor which WP Theme I use for the rest of the site – the results are the same – Forum and/or Topic title only shows up on desktop browsers, not mobile browsers.

Is this a bug? Or by design?  If it’s intentional, why?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

it is an option when you set the mobile theme you want to use. Just uncheck the option… It is turned off by default simply because of the amount of room it might take up on the valuable real estate of a phone.

Many thanks, @yellow-swordfish, for the very prompt response and your help…..I’m still very green but really loving Simple:Press!

I had not initially enabled the mobile phone/tablet support because I did not intend to use a different theme for mobile – just the same theme as for desktop, so I didn’t realize that option was there….good to know!

Now that I understand it, I will play around with reducing the font-size for mobile devices, or I may turn it back off if I can’t get it so that it looks good.
