Forum Layout

Hi, I just recently purchased the Gold membership for Simple:Press and I have been working at installing it and setting it up.  I notice however on my forum page that I am missing some of the boxes and design elements that make it look a bit more streamlined.  Can you tell me what I am missing or how to customize that so there are lines and boxes around things?  Right now it just feels a little jumbled.

Something similar to the layout that you are using for the forum here is more what I was expecting.

Thanks!

First up – the theme we use here is called ‘Reboot’ and is available to all members on the download pages – Themes – Member Themes.

As to the formatting – can you take a look at this FAQ and see if any of the options at the top correct this please: https://simple-press.com/documentation/codex/faq/troubleshooting/my-forum-display-is-unformatted-after-an-update/

Thanks for your quick response!

I tried the options through the link that you gave me, but they didn’t seem to change anything.  Any other suggestions?

Also, does the theme only affect SP?  I use Thesis Theme for my entire site and would not want to override that, so I just thought I would check.

Thanks!

No – it has no effect on the core Wp theme and is also only loaded n the forum page – and AFTER the core Wp theme styling,

Could you try the ‘css-only’ theme to see if that resolves it? if it does then it might be that your server is blocking the use of php files for css-styling and you may need to ask your host if it can be turned on.

Thank you for the response.

I realized that the SP Themes weren’t up to date.  As soon as I updated them, everything seems to be working fine.

Thank you!
