Forum menu disappearing from the mobile menu (only) when in Forum page !

Hello,

After installing the simple:press forum , We noticed that everything is working perfectly except that, on mobile only, when we are currently in the “forum” page and try to open the mobile menu, the current “forum” item in the menu is not displayed as it should (we can see a black line in that item line), it does display correctly thought when we are not in the “forum” page (eg : we are in home or something else). Also the navigation on the top does only display You are here:Home / while displaying correctly on desktop : You are here:Home / Forum. The problem has been seen on mobile android using Chrome.

I have contacted the theme developer already but We strongly believe it is related to the way simple:press is hooked to detect the Forum page so can somebody advise what could be the issue and if there is a way to fix this ?

which sp theme are you using for mobile display?  is it our responsive unified theme?

Hello,

Changing the sp theme does not remove the issue we have, like the mobile menu using in our main theme could not get the information of the item to display only when the page is the one hosting the forum…only when we change the page from the WP-integration to another page, the menu does work.

I am really unsure which ‘menu’ you are referring to here. Can we have a link to your site so we can look at it?

Yes, that is the problem, the forum page link from the mobile menu !

This is going to come down partly to how the theme authors are generating the menu and may also be, in part, caused by a long-standing WordPress bug that we have been trying to convince them to fix for some years now.

What is the option setting for ‘Filter WP list pages’ on the forum admin > Integration > Page and Permalink panel and does changing it make any difference?
