A sidenote is that i use the Avatars plugin from  Peter Sterling this is to replace gravatars on comments in wordpress. Im still amazed that WordPress after all these years doesent have a upload a local avatar setting….

But i dont think thats a conflict here, must be something else, mayby i have missed something?

seems like files are missing…

can you verify that you have:

simple-press/forum/forms

and that you have about 12 forms in php files there?

if you have the directory and those files, please verify the file permissions as those files are included to be displayed…

its possible that your php settings or the permissions on the server of those file are such that code cannot include them…
what happens if you put a direct url to one of those files into your browser?

Thanks for the reply.

If i try a file directly i get: Access denied – you cannot directly call this file

I tried wp-content/plugins/simple-press/forum/profile/forms/sp-form-profile.php

thats good. at least its reachable…  except the main form is sp-form-overview.php. doubt it will do differently, but worth a check.

can you do an svn up or grab latest nightly?  I did update the code to output more data about the profile form it couldnt load, so might be worth seeing the info and make sure its right.

also, please check your php error log after the error and see if more data is available…

Ok i replaced all files with the nightly build but nothing is changed, still cant see the profile. I still get Profile form could not be found []

Im not sure i have access to a php error log on a shared hosting account?

Might this be database related? I have upgraded from a 4.4.5 installation 1 week back.

Btw the linking is wrong here /5-0-nightly-builds/ Theme download refer to the plugin file and vice versa 🙂

they are backwards? eek! will check into that…

so no file listed between the []’s???  odd… will have to look at something but not sure how that is possible…

oh, and error logs are usually available on shared hosting…  often they are simply in your wp root (the directory with wp-admin, wp-includes, etc) and visible via http://ftp...

other times they are located in your server hosting pane, ie cpanel…  but it does vary from host to host…

I will take another look if i can find them or ask the provider. Btw i have changed 1 thing in the theme and that is the font size. the only way i could changed it ( to my knowledge) was changeing the 1em in the reset.css to 1.1 that made the size bigger, because before that it was so tiny i couldnt read it. Really strange

Mayby its some conflict with the theme or it is default like that.

Might this have anything to do with my problem ( doubt it though)

Unsure. No one else in our 3 or 4 dozen alpha testers is having this issue, so its something new and/or unique…
wait, on forum – profiles – profile tabs and menus, do you have anything listed?
