I tracked down problem with missing forum tool icon.  It was the jshortcodes plugin deregistering jquery and calling jquery via googleapis.  I commented it out in the plugin and it’s working now. 

Unfortunately that did not fix problem with Akismet settings not saving properly.  Whenever I refresh it always goes back to  Do Not Use Akismet.  The other options on that admin page do update properly. 

I assume you have akismet running already on your site?  ie, that is you have already entered in an api key for the wp akismet plugin?

good news on the jquery…. sure wish theme/plugin authors would quit doing that!!!

Yes, Akismet has been running fine and filtering spam properly.

Wow – it’s a bug. Thanks for finding it. Basically you can not set it to the third option. Apologies for thgat – I am surprised this was not found during the long beta period.

Will get it fixed up for the earliest update.

Thank you for update sir.  As a workaround I went into DB and changed value from 1 to 2.

Loving 5.0 so far, especially the forum merge. 

That will do it. Just for the record we do get the odd false positive from Akismet…
