Hello.
I updated SimplyPress this morning. When I went to create a new topic, I found there is no topic box to type text into. Attached is a picture.
How can I fix this issue? The forum is here: http://playingwithsuperpower.com/forum/
updated from, what version? to 5.7.5? and all SP plugins up to date?
are you using our js cache? if so, might try clearing it on forum – toolbox – housekeeping… supposed to happen on upgrades…
anything reported in the browser console?
The current version I have is 5.7.3. The previous one I had was 5.7.2 I presume or whatever version was right before version 5.7.3.
I’m don’t believe I’m using your js cache. I went into the tool box housekeeping and flushed the general cache.
I don’t know what “anything reported in the browser console” means.
some details in our faq: https://simple-press.com/documentation/codex/faq/how-to/how-to-use-your-web-browser-console/
what about simple press addon plugins (didnt answer)…
assume other wp plugins and theme were updated to work with wp 4.7?
since guests cant post, we cant look for js or other errors since the editor isnt displayed… can you see if it still happens with the default wp theme?
Thank you for the tip about the browser console.
I used that to identify a plugin that affects the Simplepress plugin. It’s called Native Emoji. I installed it the day I created this thread. I deactivated it and now I’m able to create posts again.
interesting.. thanks for the feedback… wonder what that plugin does since WP supports emojis already…
I wanted to use it because it offered more options than what WordPress currently does.
I was playing with the ‘Emoji One’ WP plugin recently and that seemed to be safe…
