sure. the width used by the forum though is controlled by your wp theme... so you are likely using a page template in your theme that has sidebars vs full width..

so if your theme comes with a full width page template, you can switch the forum page (by editing it in the wp page edit panel) to use that full width page template... most decent themes do have one these days...

if your wp theme does not come with a full width page template (shame on them) then you will need to create your own page template and make it full width and then assign that to the forum page...
