Updated both my WordPress and SP plugins for seo by Arnie Branchhold. Getting this error at the bottom of the page. Disabling and enabling plugin don’t help. Any suggestions?

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘dbversion’ in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/docsnets/public_html/sitefiles/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins/google-sitemap/sp-google-sitemap-upgrade.php on line 15

Plugin seems to be working ok despite the error.

Much appreciated cool

https://simple-press.com/support-forum/sp5-plugin-topics/warning-illegal-string-offset-dbversion-after-google-xml-sitemap-update/ seems like it answers the query…

Are you seeing this on the front end because of so you really should be suppressing error display on the front end. Not good.

As far as I am aware WP 3.9 is going to drop any day and should be by the end of this week at the latest – unless something nasty crops up and the WP team hold it over.

confused as to why that would repeatedly show…

none the less, the sitemap plugin update pushed out today should resolve it…

Hi Guys.. Running WP 3.9 and don’t see any problems specific to it.

As for the sitemap error it’s doing it on on two different sites. I may have to go back to using the sitemap feature in aio-seo pro. Arnies latest update is getting bombed by Google webmaster tools with warnings.

I was using aio-seo pro for the blog, and Google xml sitemap for the forum pages only. Worked great.

And this is still happening with the SP sitemap plugin update released yesterday? 2.1.3?

No the plugin update fixed it. But i dumped the WordPress Google Site Maps plugin and went back to AIO-SEO Pro sitemap. I was getting bombed in Google webmaster tools with sitemap errors.

Before this update i used the old xml sitemap plugin to do the forum only and called that sitemap forum-sitemap.xml and submitted it to Google webmaster tools. With Arnies new plugin the call it whatever name you want does not exist. And it conflicts with the current sitemap.

Hopefully AIO-SEO Pro will add SP support in their sitemap.

Thanks for your help.. wink

I need to hit up Peter again about adding that code…  I was working a project with him and Michael when they agreed to do it…  but since that’s over, might need a little reminder… ;)
