Hover popup? Ability to turn off or change it to a thread preview?

Hi, is it possible to turn off the pop up hover in Simple Press 5?  I can’t find it anywhere in the settings.  I want people to be able to go right into the link without the distraction of the popup.

If the popup can’t be turned off, can I have it show a preview of the first message in the thread?  Right now, the popup doesn’t offer much value to the user experience and is a bit of distraction.

There is no way to turn off the tooltips globally but ion most cases they can be individually removed in the templates. But… you don’t want to do that at the moment because in looking into it just now I discovered a small bug – or more likely knock-on from the html validation cleanups – that will display an empty tooltip when it should display nothing.
So if I were you i would hold off until the next update when I will have that fixed up.

OK, this sounds great.  I don’t want to turn off all the tool tips entirely, but maybe just the ones when you hover over a thread, etc.  Maybe a control panel that says: “Show tool tips for:” and a list of items we can switch on or off.  That way if we want to reduce clutter or customize how many tool tips we have on a page that pop up.  I suspect that the tool tips get annoying to people who use the forum regularly and know where the links lead to.  Maybe an option to show certain tool tips X number of times then turn off.

Also a thread preview would be nice to have as an option.

Tooltips are turned off in the templates so you can remove them or change the text etc., But let me get the fix in first…
