I noticed the forum has ability to add custom icons, but how do I replace the default icons? It would be quicker that way instead of replacing the default icons in every forum.
I like SimplePress so far.

Depends what you mean by default icons.
If you mean every icon in the theme, then you would want to replace each one you wanted to change.
If you are referring to the icons for groups, forums and topics then you can upload new custom icons on forum - forums - custom icons.
Then on forum - forums - manage groups and forums simply edit the group or forum and you can select from the uploaded custom icons.

I think Robert really did just mean replace the main group/forum/topic icons that are supplied with the theme.
If so then it depends a little on what SP theme you are using but you will find them in the /images folder of the theme. If you are using Reboot then you may be getting them from the dark or light pack. Find the sp_GroupIcon.png as an example and check it is the right one.
However - you really should use a child theme for this so that it does not get changed in a future update and just replace the icons you want to replace in the child theme images folder. If you are not using a child theme now and want to go ahead with this you will find a child theme framework available for download (which is free by the way) which you can install and switch to use.

Yes exactly @yellow-swordfish . That's what I was looking for and yes I will do this through the Reboot child theme.
