Hi

I have just set up SP on my website – its great. In the WP dashboard when I click on ‘forum’, and then users, I can see that everyone that is a registered user of my blog is now a registered as a user of the forum. The problem is they dont know. Some of these people are on my autoresponder list, but some arent. Is there a way of contacting these people to tell them that the forum has been created?

Thanks

Your users of WordPress are the same users of SP. There is no difference. SP makes use of the same table of registered users – they are one and the same. So however you contact your users now will include all those set up for the forum use.

you can send a pm to all users.. or there are multiple wp plugins for sending newsletter or other messages to users…

OK. So if someone is already a registered user on my WordPress blog, does that mean they can use there existing login details to comment on the forum?

Thanks

Yes, those are the only users in the forum… there are not separate users, just WP users… if someone ‘registers’ on the forum, they are not really registering on the forum, but the wp site….
