I can’t find this box. Running multisite and checked the settings for both the network and the individual blog. Searched the web and everything is like you say, check that box — that I don’t see!
Do I need to install a membership plugin?
I’ve had registration enabled for a while and have old users, this is so weird.
WP handles registrations… no need for a membership plugin unless you need to use the additional features it might bring (such as payments)…
so its there on wp… unless you have something else (ie plugin or theme) that removes it..
