Bill Murray, which wp version are you using?  I am testing with very early WP 3.3 and wondering if that could be part of the difference?

I am using 3.2.1, the current stable release.

As for urgency, don’t sweat it at all.  I knew going in this was alpha, and it’s not impacting me at all.  If you’ve opened a ticket as a reminder to track it down as time permits, that’s good enough for me.

I am actually more interested in 5.0 going live here myself, because if it’s stable enough I’d go live with it on my site.

ticket is open… and tomorrow ‘should’ be the day… and a fun one at that!

actually more worried about the new WP theme we are rolling out at same time…  hope the rest of the site holds up!

Bill Murray,

I still cannot duplicate this and can create users at will… and the headers error message means something has already started output…

could you try again and have the firebug console open…  when the error occurs was there an xmlhttprequest ongoing? and if so, what were the headers and response?

any other wp plugins active?

I tested this on one of my test sites on a network.  There are 5 network activated plugins (basics like Akisment), and 1 site activated plugin – SPF.

I tried it with the Firebug console open and didn’t see any XMLHTTPRequest ongoing, but I got the same error reported.  If you want, I can PM you login credentials and you can try it yourself.

At this point, if you could PM yellow swordfish and myself some wp admin credentials with sp admin caps, it would be the next logical step.
