As you see we never heard back from them.

Firstly are you using the most recent core Simple:Press version (5.5.6) as I believe there were some minor modifications in that release… although I will have to check that as it might have been 5.5.5.

This tool uses WordPress core libraries and routines so the problem is that if it does not work the issue could be just about anywhere. Perhaps you could describe for us what actually happens. And also it is worth reloading and taking things slowly as we are aware that the placement and movement is very sensitive.

If literally nothing moves when you click and try and drag then if you know how to use the script console that comes with your browser I would have that open when you try it to see of any errors are reported.

I’m using the 5.5.6, the new release.

It happens this: in the order forum area, when I click and drag a forum, a lots of blank areas appears. I can’t place the forum on these areas and they keep appearing. See screenshot below.

If you need to test it, i could provide user and password.Immagine.jpg

Wow! Is that right – you just have one group with 4 forums?
Do you get the same issue when you try the reordering from the Manage Group and Forums listing (using the button over on the right hand side)?

No, I have 7 groups and something like 30 forums. By the way, yes, It happens also from the from the Manage Group and Forums listing when tryng to re-order forums from that group.

You can watch them at clandecima.it/forum

Ok – that’s interesting… is this problem limited to just one of your groups or they all affected by this?

OK – I see the behaviour. I have also removed those logon credentials from the post above.. not good to leave them lying around.

It is possibly a data issue but I am more inclined to think it is because of the strange and many script errors your site is producing on every page load. Your WP theme is also a bit suspect as it is loading a lot of scripts in the admin that are really – as far as I can see – to do with the front end of your site and these, of course, should not be loaded.

and then there is the curious case of hunt the jQuery and jQuery UI being loaded! I can’t find them! OR any of the UI components either. This suggests something is concatenating all of your scripts and doing something odd with them and their name. Or your theme or another plugin is renaming scripts. I honestly don’t know!

But I think all of the errors need eradicating before we can realistically begin to diagnose a script problem.
