Is it possible to list unanswered threads somehow. If the software is used as a support forum, it is useful for moderators to know at a glance which posts have not been replied to.

I would suggest you try the SP admin bar plugin (which is what I am using now) which holds all new posts and provides the means to view them together, mark then as read, reply with a ‘quick reply’ window etc.

Does it work with wordpress/buddypress admin bar. I mean two admin bars at the page top?

I have absolutely no idea but the SP admin bar does not sit at the very top – it is inside the SP container.
