Manually update forum and group order

Howdy,

Is it possible to manually update forum and group order in the forum setup area?  I can’t find it.  The drag and drop “Order Groups and Forums” does not work.  I can drag a forum but it does not stick or stay moved (before save function).

I tried three different browsers, so I don’t think that is the issue.

Regards,

Mike C

doesnt work??  can you explain further?  working fine on tests and many users report liking the new feature…

have you tried on the standard forum – forums – manage groups and forums and clicking on the order forums button for a group?  only lets you switch forum order within a group…

Howdy,

I like the feature, but something is amiss.  I tried the ordering in both places; however, when I select one of the forums to reorder, the screen changes to the attached image and becomes non-functioning.

Here is a data update on this issue, which may be a subset of other issues.

  • Installed the latest version of WordPress using Weaver II theme.  I have used the latest version of all plugins including Simple:Press.  Installed SP with defaults and dark grey theme.
  • The MCE editor plugin editor does not show up either in Chrome (my default) or IE when I try to reply to post or add a topic.
  • Smiley’s only vibrate and do not insert code into text after the installation of the pupload.
  • Installation of pupload plugin causes reply to topic or posting to go to white screen.
  • The Attachment tab when selected only displays the types of attachments that can be uploaded.

When I try to reorder forums within a group, the drag and drop does not work and locks the screen (see attachment)

I am beginning to wonder if I have miss configured something that would cause all these issues. Any ideas?

Best regards,

Mike C.

not likely a configuration issue…

if tinymce is not showing up, this indicates another wp plugin or theme misbehaving… wp recently changed how tinymce works in wp…so any themes or plugins that did not update to handle it, will cause problems…

quick test…  try temp switch to default wp theme… work now? if not, disable other wp plugins and try again…

that would mainly be for tinymce…  the two issues may be unrelated…
