Members cannot see all the forums-permissions have not changed

I did a little cleanup work with my forum over the weekend.  And made it so that each person was only in one forum group.

Since then I have two members that are not able to see all the forums within each group.  However, others in the same forum group can see all the forums and so can guests.

I have attached a screenshot of what they see and here is the link to my forum page where you can see there are a lot more forums there.

Any suggestions???IMG_0748.JPG

Before anything else – try this:

Go to the forum admin > toolbox > housekeeping and run the task ‘Reset Auths Cache’. If any of the users permission/user group.forum permutations have become scrambled tis will clean them up.

See if that helps.

Thank you Yellow Swordfish.  I ran that task as you suggested and my forum user is still having trouble.  Any other suggestions?

so have you assigned permission set(s) and usergroup(s) to these new forums?  you can check on forum – forums – manage groups and forums…  check each new forum for the permissions in effect..

when you create a new forum, it gets the default permissions/usergroups you have defined for the group…  if you have not kept that updated, it may not be what you expect…

Thank you!  I didn’t think to check the forum permissions because I didn’t change them, but somehow they lost some of the permissions with the changes I made.

I think everything is back on track now.

Thank you again!
