I've the same need. I animate a business managers association.

Each time a new member joins the association, I create his account in the private forum. All members need to receive all the posts w/o having to subscribe themselves.

I will leave this one to Mr Papa as I'm not sure what the resolution was here, but my guess would be that the code wasn't posted here as it's the pre membership queries forum.

first, will move this to the proper support forum since you are a support member and its not a pre membership query...

so re-reading this, any reason you cant just use our membership subscribe plugin?  How many forums do you have?  This will autosubscribe your members to your forums, which I think will do exactly what you want...  

better than writing you own little code...  take a look and let us know...

I already use subscriptions plugin and I've only one private forum.

In the plugin options, I see that the autosubscribe option is only for members posting.

Membership Subscribe is different and it's own plugin. Steve has a valid point, it allows you to set up an auto subscription so members added to a usergroup (and the entirety of the usergroup itself) to be auto subscribed to a forum. Take a look at the Codex page to see if it will do what you want, but it should do I think.
