Moving Topic & Multiple Posts Question

Hi,

So I am moving some posts & Topcis on my forum to get some better order.

I know how to move a topic and a post but when I want to move a topic and all the
posts in that topic only the first post (the original topic one) gets moved and all the rest
of the "topic replies" remain in the original posts.

I also wonder how I can move multiple posts into either a new topic
or into another topic. I haven't as of yet seen/know how to move
one (or more) posts from one topic into another already existing topic?

These things is of course highly used admin & moderator actions so I wonder
how I can do this?

This is not something I have been able replicate or for which we have any other reports and it is a much used tool. Can you double-check this please and if it happens again we can set go into more detail of what you are doing.

We do not currently have a UI for doing this. This and other move/merge tools are on the planning board and will dome along but are not there yet. Unless someone writes a plugin for it in the meantime.

In regards to my first issue:

I tested it out and realised this was a mistake made by me. I was inside the topic inquestion
and accessed the admin panel for the first individual topic post and moved it.

I tried this out when I was in the respective forum view and accessed the admin bar for the Topic
title and this moved all of the posts properly.

So now I know how to do that properly, however I still have individual posts from my previous
topic move that I now need to merge into the "new topic" as they were replies to the original
post that got moved to it's own topic.

So far I don't see a way of doing this, it could be added it would be great
and save a ton of time for a lot of simple press forum users.

As for me I found a work around by manually "reposting" the posts
and then changing the ownership of the post to the approriate user.

Yes- as I say - we know it is needed and it has a high priority for 5.1 development.
