I am setting up my forums so that all my visitors can pick their own Member Group, which will have individualized ranks. However, it appears that only the Ranks from Group 1 show up for any of the visitors, even if they are put into Group 2. Can you help with this?

not sure what you mean...  ranks do not apply to usergroups...  you can assign a special badge to each usergroup, but not a rank...

and guests/visitors cannot pick a usergroup... they will get set to the one defined on forum - usergroups - map users to usergroups

So, rank does not match the user group they select? Here is a screen shot of my setup. I notice now that it says "Automatic Group Membership", so I guess I see where I'm wrong. I set up 10 for each of my 3 member groups and then 50 for each and so on... But that won't work the way i want, right?

well that says when a user gets to 10 posts then move them in the specified usergroup.. then when they get to 50 posts, move them in the new specified usergroup...  and so forth...

ranks are achieved based on the number of posts by a user...  but does not apply to a usergroup though they can gain access to a usergroup by reaching that rank...  that is you cannot get a rank by getting membership in a usergroup, but you can get membeship in a usergroup by attaining a rank...

hope that clears it up... but...

if you are just wanting to grant a special badge to a usergroup (vs a rank title) then just assign the usergroup the badge on the manage usergroups panel...  and then in the user info of topic view, display their usergroup badge instead of a rank...

and btw... you need a distinct post count for each forum rank... so what you have will not work...
