Need Help with Guest Postings

I am recent Gold Member of the SimplePress Forums. I was hoping a Membership would give me options to resolve this but it didn’t. 

From past 3 years I have using SimplePress as an Open Public Forum where Guest Postings were enabled. Guests were able to Add new Topic and Edit their own Topics.Memebers worked as expected.

Since I have moved to 4v to 5v (the latest 5.2.6) the entire Guest settings stopped working. Guests can now Delete their Topics and Other Topics too.

I really need help with this. My Forum is swapped with Spam Topics and replies.

this happened right after a move to sp 5.x?

so guests cannot post now?  but they can delete topics?

try going to forum – toolbox – housekeeping and do a reset of the auths cache…

right now your site is not loading throwing db errors…

Thanks. It got resolved by resetting permissions to default.

 

I have another issue with the new span plugin. I will post that in a separate thread.
