I noticed my new activations where being directed to WP dashboard from emails.. so I ticked do not allow users to WP dashboard, now they are directed to WP form for sign in, is this normal or can they be directed to forum to sign in after activation email?
Also any article on top tips for security settings?
Have you had a look in the admin panel at Forum > Components > Login and Registration?
You have the option to edit redirects, specifically ‘Login URL in new user email’.
You are using a WordPress website so yes – it it normal to use the WordPress login form and for users to be redirected to the WP dashboard. That is what wordPress does by default. You can change the latter in the forum options which allow you to block user access to the back end.
Thanks for the replies…So it is Ok for email to direct to WP login page, then redirect to forum page. I thought it would be better to let email direct to forum to page for new users…
I was more worried about new users in the backend

If you want users to be redirected to the forum after logging in then you can set this up on the forum’s login and registration admin panel
