New Forum Users are NOT getting Sign Up Confirmations

Okay, 

When a user signs up, they don’t get the email with their user/pass.  I’ve tried changing settings but no luck.  Any idea why this might me happening?

Hey Gabe,

Simple:Press plugin doesn’t send emails as it’s part of WordPress core functionality, but unfortunately WordPress can be pretty temperamental at sending. 

We always recommend installing a SMTP plugin for WP which makes sending emails almost foolproof. A couple of which that have a good reputation are HGK SMTP and Postman SMTP, both free from the WP plugin repository.

Couple things in addition to Ike’s comments…

WP sends the email a not simple press…

WP also no longer sends passwords in email… You will instead get a link to page to retrieve…
