I am looking for the “New post indicator” in SP 5, that feature in SP4 where a red indicator at the top level forum was showing the forum user there was new posts in this forum.
I am wondering if this feature is gone, is going to be re-added or if I missing something in the setup.

It is now in the status icons column of Group View (clickable) and Topic View (advisory)
I should really add that that is where it is by default of course.
Thank you Yellow Swordfish, following your reply and after a closer examination on my forum I found the indicator, I think I was mainly confused by the icon (color) change since SP4.

You can, of course, change the icon and even move it to a different location via template changes.
