V5 now uses themes and templates in the same way the WP does. The statistics area can be found in the spFooter template in whatever theme you are using. No documentation yet (as was stated on the V5 download page) but it should be easy to spot.
Of course, being beta I can't guarantee the template wont be changed prior to release.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I searched my public_html directory and
assuming you are using default stuff... look in your:
public_html/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-themes/default/templates/spFoot.php
file... keep in mind, per our warning, you really should create your theme and not edit our provided themes or else you may lose changes when you upgrade... our code (http://codex.simple-press.com) gives pointers on how to create your own theme from our provided themes...
