Notify User Tool

I am wondering how this tool works.  I have tried to test it, thinking it would send an email to the user but I never received anything.  

Am I misunderstanding how this works?

We don’t have a plugin by that name so can you please tell me which plugin you are actually referring to?

It isn’t a plugin, it is an option in the forum toolset called Notify User.

Hey Jenn,

I’m sure I’ll be corrected if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure that ‘notify user’ only sends a notification to a specified user within the forum, with the notice appearing in the head of the forum similar to mentions.

yes, correct Ike… they will get a little notification at the top of the forum the next time the user visits the forum (logged in of course)…
