I’ve done a search for this but don’t seem to be able to find a solution.
The threads in my forum seem to go from oldest to newest and I can’t find how to change it.
The last thread entered is on the last page but should be the first one on the first page.
I’ve set Options – General Display Settings to Sort posts newest to oldest but that does not seem to have any impact on the threads and I’m not seeing any similar setting elsewhere. I’m sure there must be one somewhere.
Assuming by ‘thread’ you do mean the posts in an individual topic then the default and most standard is the very first post in the thread is on the first page at the first position and the most recent on the last page in the last position.
This can be globally reversed – as you have noted – in the General Display Settings > Topic View Formatting by turning on the option to ‘Sort posts newest to oldest’. So are you saying this option setting is not working? Do we have a problem with it? Haven’t had any other reports but I will check it out…
also, did you change the personal option in your profile? if so, your sorting will be dictated by your profile setting and not the forum option…
