Ok, I'm close to quitting here guys.

I had just got everything working fine with 4.4.5 on my site and along came the upgrade to WP 3.3.

I made the upgrade and everything went perfect.

I then saw the message to upgrade Simple-Press to 4.5.0 but also saw the mention that we would rather you tried version 5 Beta, so hey that's what I did.

I read through the instructions of this page https://simple-press.com/simpl.....-download/.

I deactivared my simple press 4.4.5.

I deleted my plugin folder via FTP (Having backed it up to desktop first)

I installed v5b via the wordpress upload function. All went well. I then activated the plugin and got the message 'The plugin does not have a valid header'.

It was not very clear on the instruction page what to delete. (paste) If you are upgrading from version 4.4.5 you will need to deactivate 4.4.5 (NOT uninstall) and completely remove the current plugin folder and files. Upload the SPV5 plugin in the normal way and re-activate it to perform the upgrade.

I completely removed the plugin folder and it's contents but does this mean I have to delete all associted files within wordpress? ( I didn't btw, I just deleted the plugin file from the server).

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Scrub the last one guys, I've sorted it.

Using FTP client was far better, I guess I should have heeded the 'We strongly suggest you use an FTP client', warning rather than uploading within WP.

BTW I think the new look of V5 beta is cool. Thank you all for your excellent hard work, it truly is appreciated!
