Plugin not showing up for activation after deleting and starting over.

I tried uploading the plugin from the WordPress installer and it crapped out saying the plugin didn’t have a header.  I assumed it didn’t install so I uploaded by FTP after unzipping it.  I then activated and installed the plugin.  I then saw that I had two folders for Simple Press and I deleted the one I uploaded manually.  I did not uninstall.  I simply deactivated it and deleted the file by http://FTP.  That may the entire installation go away, which means it was probably the other folder that needed to be deleted.

I uploaded the files again manually by FTP and now the plugin won’t show up in the plugin screen to be reactivated.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can reinstall and get this working again?

DISREGARD.  I FIGURED IT OUT.

is this really 5.0??

this probably means you used the wp plugin installer which we have big warnings against… unless you have modified your php.ini file to allow uploads of larger than 2MB… that is the php default and sp is larger than that…

what did you upload?? the simple-forum (4.5.0) directory and all sub dirs and files… or the simple-press (5.0) directory and all sub dirs and files…
