Profile icon not working anymore

I just noticed that when I click on a member’s forum icon, instead of opening a pop up window to that person’s profile, the forum page shifts up a little, but otherwise nothing happens. So nobody can access any member profiles.

I am not sure when exactly this happened. I just know it was working a few weeks ago when I used this function last. Any idea what might cause this?

I am running the latest WP version and the latest forum version. My site is http://thaihealingmassage.com/forum

Hey Shama,

Are you running a custom theme there at all?

If so, I take it you have updated your forum today to 5.5.3? Have you updated the theme with the latest update code changes?

I’m not 100% sure if the problem you are having is related however.

I notice that the usernames I can click on your forum take me to external sites, but the profile photo’s are not links.. So if you are running a custom theme, what exactly has changed in the templates?

I had the same. It happened after the WP 4.1 update (the latest SP update didn’t seem to make a difference) on PC/Chrome. Clicking on profile links or mod tools took me to the bottom of the page, and didn’t open the popup. Tooltip text was also huge.

I was using a Unified child theme with some very basic modifications. I switched to the updated stock Unified, then back to my child theme and it seems to be OK now. Not sure what caused the problems.

All the SP updates just now showed up in my WP admin area, and now the profile feature works again. And I don’t have a custom theme, nothing was changed in my WP theme.

Excellent so at least in your case it was just 5.5.2 clashing with WP 4.1. Thanks for letting us know.
