Ok I just tried that, still not working, I must be doing something wrong.

The theme I am using is a child theme of twentyeleven I have done.

To do your second suggestion I did this below is this correct? I suspect I’ve done it wrong!!

//Use jQuery from Google Code
    wp_register_script(‘jquery-tools’, ‘http://www.pcmi.org/jquery.tools.min.js’);
    if (sp_is_forumpage()) wp_enqueue_script(‘jquery-tools’);

ah, what was wrong?  the slider still not working?  looks like I had inverse logic… should be:

if (!sp_is_forumpage()) wp_enqueue_script(‘jquery-tools’);

that’s done it!!

I thought it might be something to do with:  if (sp_is_forumpage

I take it the exclamation mark makes it if ‘NOT’ ?

if (!sp_is_forumpage

thanks for the help :)

This link leads to a registration page. As a general rule we do not register on peoples sites. We would be happy to take a look but would ask you to set up a registration we can use.

Then Please PM credentials to both myself and to ‘Mr Papa’. Please include in the PM a link to your site, a link to this thread and brief reminder of the problem. And one of us will take a look for you.

You have a bad JavaScript conflict – I think from another plugin – which needs to be fixed. This codex article explains what this means and what to look for:

http://codex.simple-press.com/codex/faq/troubleshooting/what-is-this-jquery-conflict/

The main jQuery library is being force-loaded from the google CDN. Not only that but it is NOT being loaded with the WP API which means there are two copies being loaded. And to cap it all it is an old Version 1.3 copy and the latest that WP and SP uses is 1.7.x!
