Before we had an easy editor for signatures that looked like this:
The editor bar is now gone and it’s css code or something. Is there any way to get back the editing bar?

not currently… several versions ago, due to incompatibilities and causing issues on many installs, we had to remove it… we have a ticket open to attempt to put it back in…
Any ETA on when it could possibly be added back? (I understand it wouldn’t be a hard deadline)
No, not currently… at this time, its not planned for 5.5.2 planned for end of October… so maybe the next versions… its something we want to look at, but its a royal nightmare of code to get working right because of all the ajax in the profile form…
Ok, well I understand it’s not simple to implement. Just know that signature block is a huge value to my forum members to promote their own site but most of them don’t know how to set it up with coding.
Thanks for your responsiveness!
Another idea for you guys to consider whenever you begin to work on it:
It would be helpful to have a setting on it that any links in the signature link default to opening a new tab when someone clicks on it. Just a thought…

there is an option for that on forum – options – content settings…
Nice! Thanks…
I just came to post up about this as well. NONE of my forum members know html, and they ALL want images in their signatures.
What about a popup editor, where they can design their code, then copy and paste it into the signature field, would that be a workaround for whatever conflicts you guys are experiencing in the profile coding? (sorry, I don’t know all the terminology) Or an iframe of an editor where they can design, copy and paste…
all part of the problem getting tinymce active in… and significant redesign of the profile panels which are currently heavy ajax…
but we do understand the desire and have a ticket as mentioned and hope to tackle it soon… probably post 5.5.2 due out end of month… too many business trips and vacations for team this month to tackle this big project…
