Is it possible to redirect the user to the login / register screen IF they have no access to the forum AND they are not logged in (if they are logged in and they still have no access, it can just display the default message).

So, possible or not?

That would lie more in the province of WP than SP and would probably require some sort of membership plugin.

Try Wishlist Member plugin then restrict the page that Simple Press is embedded on. They will then be sent to a signup page that you dictate.

you could give the sneak peek stuff a try... it will display the main forum page (groupview) and optionally forum views... but trying to go any further will result in a message or redirect to page of your choice...
