I love you guys you know that, you always are quick to answer my questions.
Which I am glad because I have another, well actually two. When a person reports posts on my forum it directs the person to a message that says this requested forum does not exist. The same happens if you want to “see all online activity” How do I go about creating these forums and then link them to the reported posts and online activity? Or is there another way to do this?

moved to its own topic.. better than piling on an existing topic…
sounds like a permalink issue… please go to forum – integration – page and permalink and click on the update permalink button and see if that clears it up…
well, you are not allowing guests to see online activity or report posts, so cant really see much…
but one question… is there a particular reason why you are using the ugly default permalinks? technical reason that is… shouldnt matter, but many benefits to using custom permalinks…
This does seem to be an issue with our handling of some permalinks (those defined in sp plugins) with custom permalinks…
ticket open to fix up…
I don’t know I would change them if I knew. How do I change the ugly default permalinks? Sorry, the other admin set up the basics so this is new to me but if you explain it then I would prefer to change it. As far as the permissions I thought they were able to report posts I guess I will check that.
go to wp – settings – permalinks in the wp admin… then pick the one you want… Personally, I like post name, but you can pick one of the others or create your own custom…
Um, noob question but how do I change it? Do I need to create a new page in WP? ![]()
EDIT: I changed user permissions to report posts and view online activity.
no, I dont think so… April, until we get a fix in for those in default permalinks, you need to go to the wp admin… go to the settings – permalinks panel… and select a non default permalink… I would just suggest post name, but pick what you want…
your issues will go away and you will be happier with your site too…
but we will fix those issues… not many folks use default permalinks anymore so they slipped through the cracks…
this should be fixed in trunk… all well, should get an other update out tomorrow…
You’re welcome.
We are grateful to you for finding a bug we had not encountered. That’s always a good thing
