maybe it makes sense 😉  the hard part is the logistics… and the UI…

within the reputation system, when you give reputation to a user for one of their posts, you determine the amount of reputation up to the max to give… its variable amount…

when used with post rating or thanks, that probably wont be feasible.. It will need to be a fixed amount of reputation given or taken…  which means a whole set of options to set up…  so a bit of departure.. certainly doable, but not as elegant as giving reputation within the system…

Giving the rep points is more of a lump sum, whereas the others can be done multiple times in several posts.  Maybe low figures like 1-5 points given/taken (for post rating)?
