just a update, seems a lot of the issues are coming from feedly, and some how they are bypassing that function I added as seen here

https://feedly.com/i/subscription/feed/problem-with-post-edit-buttonttp://thehomesteadingboards.com/forums/rss

but if I just use the all link, it shows nothing

http://thehomesteadingboards.com/forums/rss

how is that even possible?

are you sure the feedly one is up to date?  they are certainly caching the feeds.. perhaps it just needs to expire out?

it was updating every half or so until I totally disabled the feed again this afternoon, then it stopped updating and the long queries stopped propagating in the error log, I disabled it around 5:00 pm est, last error in the log was at 4:26 pm est and the last forum post feedly is showing is from 5 hours ago, so all three fit the same time frame

I put that function into place at midnight last night, when I did it, I turned off cloudflare, flushed it’s cache three times, then flushed the cache on the server three times to make sure everything was clear, it kept updating the feed all day long, it stopped updating when I shut down the feed on the forums totally and removed the function around 5 pm, now it just shows what the last crawl was, which coincides to just before when I shut down  you can see how many posts it pulled since midnight.

I’m just going to keep the rss shut off, I just thought it strange that feedly was still pulling the all feed when it was shut down with the function and it couldn’t even be accessed with a browser rss reader

I am talking about the feedly cache, not CDN…  so yeah, leave it off and see if it still updates…
