ah, the ‘trick’ for recreating seems to be changing the password…  then I can recreate…  this might be because nonces are no longer valid with a password change which may affect a user cookie… just a guess…   but now we can recreate and can investigate further…

so I can give you an easy fix for this…

find the file simple-press/forum/profile/forms/sp-form-accounts.php and edit it…  around line 20 find this code:

if (response.type == 'success') {
     spjDisplayNotification(0, response.message);
} else {

and change it to

if (response.type == 'success') {
     spjDisplayNotification(0, response.message); 
     window.location.reload();
} else {

this will force the profile page to reload when saving account settings since the wp nonces wont be valid after a user update with new passwords..
