Does anyone know of a search plugin that can search a whole WP site including the SP forums?
This is an area where the SP/WP integration seems to be lacking. Standard WP searches will not search the forums and the SP searches will only search the forum.
nope. the wp search is a bit lacking. we do have an open ticket for this and the wp folks have been trialing some search changes we could use, but nothing formally committed by them yet… we still hope to do this soon (not in 5.0)…
You can create a Google custom site search that will do both and add it as a widget or on it’s own page. Then remove the WP search or even both the WP one and the SP one.
Thanks for the suggestion, Brandon. I did look in to that, but it still doesn’t look really integrated.
