Just updated to WordPress 3.3 (from 3.3 beta), and updated SPF using the inbuilt updater. After performing the upgrade afterwards, I now get the following error message:
Call to undefined function wp_create_nonce() in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/sermon/public_html/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins/private-messaging/sp-pm-plugin.php
This occurs everywhere in the site, front and back-end – I’ll have to rename the plugin to disable it just in order to proceed.
<update>It looks like this was caused by an incompatibility between an old version of the plugin and the new version of SPF. I guess the answer is either to (a) Have the updater update plugins automatically when you update SPF, (b) After an update re-enable plugins in a sandbox, (c) Refuse to run the updater until plugins are up to date.
In other news, I wasn’t able to update multiple SPF plugins at a time. After the first one or two, I got a “Plugin is up to date” error.</update>
